New for hard moments

Versions 2.2 and 2.3 are about the minutes that matter most: when a craving hits, and when you need a reason to hold on.

New in 2.3

Craving mode

Tap “Craving right now?” on Home, or long-press the app icon. A full-screen “Ride it out” view keeps a timer against a 20-minute bar, paces box breathing, shows one of your own reasons for quitting, asks you to play the tape forward, and puts 988 and a call to someone one tap away.

New in 2.3

Optional app lock

Lock the app with your phone's own fingerprint, face or PIN, so there is no extra code to forget. 988 stays on the lock screen, and the app hides its contents in recent apps on Android 13 and up.

New in 2.2

Why I quit

Write down your reasons for quitting in your own words, with a photo from your phone or Google Photos if you like. They show on Home, and again next to 988 when you log a strong craving or a slip.

What's in the app

Built natively for Android from the Jacked on Sobriety community's own workouts, stories and resources.

Sober-day counter

Set the day your count began and watch it grow. Badges land at 1, 7, 30, 60, 90 and 180 days, then at 1, 2 and 5 years, with a countdown to the next one.

Daily check-in

“Stayed sober today?” with Yes, Close call or Slipped, then craving level, what set it off, what helped, and a note. After a slip, a no-judgement screen offers 988 and lets you restart the count or keep it.

Craving mode

Ride out a craving with a timer, box breathing, your own reasons and the shortest workout. “I rode it out” logs the day as a close call, not a slip.

Reasons for quitting

A “Why I quit” card on Home shows your reasons one at a time, with optional photos. The app keeps only a link to each photo, never a copy.

Mood check-in

Pick an emotion on a seven-step pleasantness scale, add feeling words and what is having the biggest impact. Modeled on Apple's State of Mind.

A calendar of your days

Every day since your clean date is tinted. Sobriety answers, completed workouts and mood colours show on each day, with monthly totals and four-week trends.

12 workouts

Push, Pull, Legs, Full Body, Core, Conditioning and Recovery sessions, filtered by focus and by time. Each has a cool-down routine and recovery tips, and Home picks a workout for today.

Help, one tap away

Crisis lines for call and text, eight recovery programs, and a Need backup? card on Home. If you are in immediate danger, call 911 or 988.

Steps and widgets

Daily steps from Health Connect without double counting a phone and a watch, a daily reminder you set yourself, and two home-screen widgets for days clean and streak progress.

App lock

Turn it on from the Log's Your progress. It locks on a fresh start and after a minute away, using the phone's own fingerprint, face or PIN.

Community

A quote of the day from a set of 97, real recovery stories in a new order each visit, training partners, supplements and the merch store.

The app is not a medical device and does not replace treatment or a sponsor. If you are in crisis, call or text 988 in the US. More places to start are on the Resources page.

Closed test on Google Play
12 testers are in. The 14-day test is underway.
Started Oct 23day 2 of 14Earliest finish Nov 6
Google asks new apps to run a closed test with at least 12 testers for 14 days before they go public. We reached 12 testers on October 23, and they have had version 2.3 since October 24. Once the test finishes we apply for production access, aiming to be live on Google Play by the end of November 2026.
Want to try it now? More testers are welcome, and they keep the test safely above Google’s minimum. You need an Android phone (8.0 or newer) and a Google account. Please keep the app installed until the test ends.

Updates

What changed in each build, newest first.

October 24, 2026 Version 2.3 Out to testers

Craving mode, an app lock and a faster start

  • Craving mode: a “Craving right now?” card on Home and a launcher shortcut open a full-screen view to ride it out, with a 20-minute timer, a box-breathing pacer, one of your reasons for quitting, the shortest workout, and 988 or a call to someone.
  • “I rode it out” opens today's check-in as a close call, with the craving and what helped already filled in.
  • Optional app lock with the phone's fingerprint, face or PIN. 988 stays on the lock screen.
  • A full-screen Jacked on Sobriety image on launch, and a shorter black screen before it.
  • Fixed: the steps widget no longer carries yesterday's count past midnight; the Back gesture steps back through check-ins; the streak card shows the same milestones as the rest of the app; the Log moves on to the next day at midnight; check-in sliders round correctly; and the slip screen only shows when you change your answer to Slipped.

12 testers: the 14-day closed test begins

  • The closed test on Google Play reached 12 testers, which starts Google’s 14-day testing period.

  • Log a strong craving (7 or higher) or a slip in your daily check-in, and the app shows one of your reasons next to the 988 crisis line.
  • Your reasons stay on your phone, and the app saves only a link to each photo, never a copy. No storage permission needed.
October 20, 2026 Version 2.1

More motivation every day

  • 67 new quotes from athletes and coaches join Quote of the day, for 97 in all.
  • The “Real people. Real recovery.” stories on Home appear in a new order each time you open it.

  • Sober-day counter and milestone badges, steps from Health Connect, the 12-workout library, crisis lines and recovery programs.

  • The site's menu, photos and pages, and fixes from a full code audit.
